The Utah Auction

A long day, but a good one. There were only about 20 horses at the sale, so not as many as in the past. We were able to save four horses- and a pregnant pygmy goat...

I just got home and wanted to quickly post photos of the new guys. I will post about the auction itself tomorrow, we are exhausted!

"Harmony", a 12-13 year old Arab QH cross mare who was rescued for $90.00. She appears sound and healthy, just thin. She was ridden at the sale and looked quiet and steady under saddle.

"Spice"is a little filly who had been left at the sale yard, she was not run through the auction, but we found her owner and bought her directly from him for $50.00. She is thin and wormy and unsure, but she is very willing and very sweet. Poor little thing...

"Boone" is a 14 year old gelding who is shod all the way around and appears very sound and healthy. Looks like he will make someone a wonderful riding horse, he has a quiet and steady personality. He was rescued for $140.00.

"Bonanza" is a 5 year old Palomino gelding. He looks sound and healthy, easy to handle and probably well broke. He was saved for $150.00.
"Blossom", the pregnant Pygmy goat.

All the horses (and Blossom) are safe and secure at Shiloh, eating dinner, drinking water and getting some rest...
