Tuesday

Another busy day today. Clear, but cold.

Sunday took a nap with Sitka...

And then they went out for a walk!

We cleaned out Charmin's tooth which has an old fracture, food gets stuck in it and it stinks!

Sally spent some time with Sausage Patti, who followed her around...

Don't they look cute together?

Then we got in a New Arrival, a starved older Thoroughbred mare who came from Animal Control. She was originally found abandoned in the desert, and thanks to caring horsewoman, Billy, she has found her home at Shiloh. We have named her "Jingle Bell".

Still spry enough for a nice roll...

Luckily, Jingle Bell is still interested in eating and we are hoping with the proper care and feeding, that she will be able to make a recovery.

Robin and Daria, along with Jill's sister, Sarah, spent time grooming and spoiling her...

They shedded off alot of dead and matted hair...

Daria has fallen for her...
And has become Jingle Bells Holiday Sponsor!

Into her straw bedded stall...

Two layers of warm blankets and good food and water and she was content. Let's all hold a good thought for this sweet old mare as she fights to recover...

OmGosh~ Sitka has been such a good mother, she really has. Since Sunday was premature, does he get to stay w/ her a little longer? It is going to be heartbreaking when the weaning time comes. So HAPPY he is staying at Shiloh. Next to Jesus, Sunday is the 2nd best Christmas I have ever received. Thank YOU Jill, Sally and my wonderful husband, Dave. MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone! Deonna
