Tuesday and the Three New Arrivals!

CALYPSO AND ARSON UPDATE: Calypso is holding her own, but not improving as much as we would like. She is still impacted. We are continuing her treatment though to try to get something moving, although it is still pointing toward a stone. Arson looks like he is responding to his antibiotics and is improving. They are both remaining in the clinic...

First off, HUGE THANKS to December Feed Fairies! The Feed Fairies bought an incredible 253 bags of Equine Senior for the Shiloh Horses. Please consider becoming a January Feed Fairy, where $10.00 makes a real difference.

Good news as Beau is adopted today to Sherry of Las Vegas! A great new owner for this very nice young Thoroughbred gelding.

Yesterday, Shiloh received our $5,000.00 grant check from the ASPCA for our Medical Area. This will help so many horses get the more intensive care they need. We will be combining this grant with the Levi Strauss building donation to make a great area of run ins and corrals for those horses who need extra care.

We picked up 150 more bags of shavings that had been donated to the horses. That is 300 bags of brand new shavings!

But, now for the three new arrivals from the Reno, NV area! These three seniors arrived last night. They are all sweet and we are happy to have them at Shiloh.

Abuelo, which means "Grandfather" in Spanish, is approx 30 years old and thin. But he is very gentle and settled right into his new home. Abuelo was found abandoned in the Northern Nevada Desert.

Stretch, named for his length and great height, is a approx 26 year old Holsteiner gelding. He craves attention and will follow anyone around who comes near him. He came with his longtime friend, Vanilla. They were at risk for being sent to the Fallon Slaughter auction after their owner passed away. Stretch is HUGE and must have really been something in his prime.

Vanilla is an approx 22 year old Draft mare. She is a bit shy and unsure of people, but after some initial grooming and spoiling, she settled down and began to enjoy herself.

Daria welcomed Abuelo to the rescue...

While, Sally checked out Stretch's height.

Then Stretch found three new girlfriends...
Laurie helped Vanilla feel more secure in her new surroundings...

Later, they enjoyed some grooming. Daria and Stretch bonded...

As did Robin and Abuelo...

Look who was back again, it's Kevin Bacon!

Kody and Darian had some fun with Tattoo...

Baja went into Jill and Sally's tackroom and made it a huge mess!

Jingle Bell hung out in the barn aisle for a while...
Sally unhooking the trailer.
Laurie and her husband gave Jill, Sally, and Tony Shiloh Letterman Jackets!
