Pahrump Girl Scouts Visit Shiloh! 10/4/08

Four troops of Girl Scouts from Pahrump, NV came out to Shiloh this morning.
There were approx 40 girls and some parents, so it was quite a crowd! Everyone took a tour of the rescue and the horses and then groomed Assisted Living and the Gummie horses. Everyone had a great time, the older horses especially loved the extra attention and carrots!

Some more great news as both Frost and Sammy are adopted! Frost is going home with Janice and her family, where he will join their other Arabian gelding. Sammy was adopted by Shiloh supporters, Eric and his mom, Libby! Sammy, now renamed Sawyer (great name) will be boarded at Shiloh along with Eric's Mustang, Gus. Great homes for these two very friendly geldings. Yay!

Ahhhhh- Eric is a new Daddy! Congratulations!!!! Eric, you were beaming with pride in the picture! So- how is Gus with this arrangement- did you tell him that the stork brought him a new brother? Did Gus tell you to send him back? ha-ha!! I'm sure Gus will- learn- to love Sawyer. Great name! Reminds me of a movie... All the little Scouts looked so cute in the pics! It was strange not being there today- the Carrot Brigade will be there tomorrow. Looks like all the kids (and by kids I do mean horses)were spoiled royally today, as they should be! See all you fabulous Shiloh people manana! PS- Mrs. D.- soooo glad you liked the mud! And yes, it doesn't keep that well...

Thank you for our tour and visit Saturday. All the girls( in my van) fell asleep on the way home! So we ended up with 3 flat tires and a died battery getting out there and back but it was worth it!!
