A dusty day...

What started as a beautiful day turned into a windy dusty one! at times, we could not see anything!

It's really hard to do anything on days like this! But we were able to get alot done before the wind kicked up. Wounds, feeding, horses worked, medications given...

Showbiz, the young filly born at Shiloh to feedlot mare, Norma Jean, returned to Shiloh today due to changes in her adoptive home. She was very well cared for and has great manners. This is a very nice big filly, she is already well over 15 hands at about 15 months of age. She'll eventually be looking for her new home...

Inca...

Poor Belmont and his crippled leg. You would really never know it though, he actually rules the Big Vacation Village pasture and will canter around with his friends. He is living a quality horse life, all we can ask for and give him.

Here is something to make us all smile. Sweet old Christian Bail, who was rescued from a Fallon slaughter auction a few months ago, is being adopted by a wonderful family from Elko, NV! It was the right home and family for Christian, he wasn't even looking for a new home, but it came along anyway. He will be loved and spoiled by two little girls in his new family, looks like a perfect match.

A gentle old guy who still has a life of love ahead of him... He will leave with his family on Saturday.

The pictures of the girls with Christian brought a smile to my face. "Every horse, at least once in its life, deserves to be loved by a little girl." I don't know the author of that quote but I love it!!

Oh this post made me tear up! What a nice old sweetie, and he's going to be SO loved with those girls. Looks like the perfect fit.

You guys, you always have the best stories. I imagine running Shiloh must put you thru the emotional wringer. You laugh, you cry, you want to jump up and down... every day brings something new.

I'm glad to see Christian find a great home.
