Photos and More Adoption Videos

Saturday was a very busy day, as always!

Little Battle Born, BB, will be six months old at the end of June. We are looking for a friendly gelding babysitter for him and have narrowed our search down to either Wanderer Concho who loves the babies or our POA Pony, Cowboy. We will be trying them out this next week. We do not wean before 6 months of age and we let Nature and the mom and baby let us know when the time is right. Once BB is comfortably weaned, he can move onto his new home in CA...

Volunteer Helga cleaned up both happiness and Orleans...

While other volunteers spent time with White Cloud and Idaho in the VC pen...

Peace Pipe is still slowly gaining weight...

Sabine worked with Frost in the large arena...

While Elisa worked with Suggestion. He is really settling down and is a very nice gelding who will be looking for a new home very soon...

Helga bathed her favorite Shiloh Horse, Hutch, under City Center while hugging Breezer at the same time...
A view of the Okay Corral. That is Apache in the distance and Chance closer up...

Over in Easy Street, Cognac is finally up to a healthy weight.

And Maverick eats his senior feed in Mesquite Manor.

Suggestion again...

At Shiloh, we always have a nice selection of horses looking for new homes and futures. We have all ages and breeds, all riding levels. Those who are rideable are regularly worked under saddle. Some horses go English, some go Western. All are evaluated so that we can match them up with the correct level of rider.

Here are some horses who are currently looking for a new home:

Latte's first time at the trot under saddle, $1,000.00 Adoption Fee.

Cedar Under Saddle, $600.00 Adoption Fee.

Truce Under Saddle, $600.00 Adoption Fee.

Mercali Under Saddle, $800.00 Adoption Fee

Gentry's Progress, this very cool gelding has come a long, long way. Shiloh rider, Elisa, has done an excellent job of helping him gain back his confidence and find pleasure in under saddle work. Gentry is now moving nice and forward and is enjoying the attention and activity, he has excellent manners and has a truly gentle spirit. Gentry will be looking for his new home in about one month...

Maybe a silly question here, but why do they have different adoption fees? I'm sure there's a very good explanation....!

The adoption fees depend on the horse's age and abilities. A younger horse (under 10) who is going under saddle like Mercali will usually go for $800, Latte is a very young huge draft cross who has some nice potential, so she is at $1,000. An older trail or pleasure riding horse can range from $400-$600. $600 is actually our average fee.

Our adoption fees are always negotiable to a great home.

Thanks for asking Beanie Mouse!
