A Very Peaceful Monday...

Today was a nice day, much cooler (although still hot). All the animals seemed content and happy...

Here is a view of the Gummies...

Of course, one of our first jobs each morning is to pick up the trash that the Burros and dogs got into during the night. Here is Sally and Donkey Otie picking up trash on City Center...

I don't think Otie is actually helping much...

Daisy has decided to spend some time in the Pig Palace. We don't know why but she does this from time to time. She will wander over into the Palace from the Barn area and stay for a few days. She sleeps in the pig houses and bosses the pigs around...
She is the same size as Sunny and BLT.

Clovis and his pal, Pecos, out in the Big Pasture...

Lark enjoying her morning hay...

Poor little Sunday is not happy being kept in the Medical area instead of with his pals in the Brat Pack. Sunday had minor surgery in the clinic last week to repair his small umbilical hernia. All went well and he is recovering nicely.

Sunny eating her Feed Fairy food in the Gummies. She seems very happy out with her new group of friends.

A shot of the Big Pasture. I love the mountain view...

More of the Big Pasture. Left to right: Cisco, Dodge, Juniper and Treasure.

Sanctuary horse Aiken is looking great...

Here is Storm Cloud, Cabrillo and Sparrow...

Sleetwood Mac and his Pinto pals, Lobo and Wasabi. He always hangs out with Paints!

Elisa on Checkers. Checkers is settling down and coming along...

Over in Easy Street, Moose the Mule and his friends, Cloud and Shamrock...

The two elder Iceys have made friends, Throtter and Lyfting are now sharing a pen in Mesquite Manor. They are so cute together!

Some new volunteers/visitors from Canada enjoyed brushing the Gummies. Here Sy and Melvyn get some extra attention...

Sweet old Gomez is spending some time in a Barn stall as he hasn't been feeling too well the past few days. He is very old and just seemed a bit off in his behavior- but he was looking better today and hopefully he can move back out into the Gummies in a few days to be with his friends. The change in the weather (colder at night, hot during the day) can sometimes affect the older guys.
