Labor Day...

Happy Labor Day to everyone out there! As always, there was lots of "labor" to do at the rescue...

Fax is looking nice and healthy in the Mare Motel. He is getting better and starting to learn to trust people. For now, he is wearing a halter with a short lead on it so we can easily catch him. Once he gets a bit better, that will be removed as we do not normally keep halters on our horses in the corrals and pastures due to the risk of entanglement...

Gentry, looking a bit too "relaxed" for his adoption photo shoot...

But he sure looks nice and healthy...

What a photogenic guy!

Robin and Charmin and Daria and Tanis under City Center...

Dave worked with Fax. This really will be a very nice horse once he is ready. We will continue to work with him on the ground and then progress to starting him under saddle before he is available for adoption...

Sally cleaned up Zoolander's Harbonema lesion...

Mojo "assisted" Kelsey with Gentry's bath...

Yvonne, John and Sandi inspected Capone. Sandi and Capone have made such a wonderful riding team and are enjoying regular trail rides out into the desert.

Blahnik in Okay Corral...

Trace in Big Pasture...

Daria took Tanis out on trail today. They both had a great time!

While Elisa worked with Carefree in the arena. Carefree is being worked under saddle and we will be working on her adoption video very soon...

Tanis and Charmin headed to City Center after their ride...

Forty acres to roam on and Taco just has to stick his head into this lead rope. Why?

Some Shiloh riders heading out on a nice Labor Day ride...

Elisa has begun to work with Ochocinco. She is moving sound and is developing nice ground manners.

Sanctuary Horse, Dayton out in Okay Corral.

This is Shawnee and Sadler. They have become good pasture pals...

Good news as Throttur, the 35 year old Icey, is finally interested in his surroundings! He now waits at the gate for his morning Equine Senior and spends hours roaming freely. He was very depressed when he first arrived but is coming out of his shell...

Sanctuary Horse, Ciento in Easy Street.

Elisa and Resolute working hard...

Throttur in his Medical Unit pen. What a cutie!

Thank you for sharing the pictures, I read your blog everyday. Ochino... looks great compared to what that poor horse looked like the day she arrived at the ranch. You work miracles.
