The Last Few Days...

I am sorry to all our readers out there, I took a few days off from my daily blog.

Sally and I have been working hard at both the ranch and with Tony's physical therapy. Tony is coming along and working hard, but it can be very hard and tiring on the rest of us!

This past weekend, Sally and I drove down to San Diego to watch my sister ride in a horse show. We just needed to have a few days off to reboot our brains!

I have also decided to get back into the Combined Training show scene, something I used to love to do and did for many years. So, I have actually been looking for a new horse for myself to ride and compete, nothing major, just for the fun of the sport. Of course, we will be bringing along some our OTTB rescue babies as well, getting them jumping and maybe get some shows under their belts before they move on to their new homes. We are hoping to have a Shiloh team of horses at some shows next year! So, I have been working hard to get myself back into shape (not an easy thing!) and back to daily riding. It has been almost 15 years since I have done any serious major riding or jumping and now I am 40. I know what my body needs to be doing- but it just doesn't seem to be doing it like it used to! :o)

Running such a large rescue makes my time very limited, but thanks to the wonderful and hardworking support of my mom and rescue partner, Sally, I am able to put aside a few hours each morning to ride...

So please excuse my silence on the blog- but beginning tomorrow, I will be back to posting the daily rescue fun with all of the horses and other animals you all have come to know and love!

Don't apologize for having fun! You guys needed some time away and deserved every minute of it. Welcome back, and I'll see ya at the ranch.

I'll tell Gus and Sawyer to put their game faces on for Team Shiloh recruiting.

Great Plan Jill. I will help with the horses, you just lead the way. I too am trying to get into shape so that I can ride Granite. It is not easy but we can do it. I just wish I could do what you do, you go girl.

I am trying to do the same thing, my event horse is too old so I have been working hard at getting Blackjack into eventing, he just hates Dressage. Both Aubrie and I goals are to do at least 2 events next year, it would be cool to show off our Shiloh horses with you and Sarah.
