Tuesday at Shiloh

Make sure you sign up for Shiloh's Twitter (sign up on the side of the blog, follow the link). Shiloh will be sending out "tweets" a few times a day from the rescue to give up to the minute updates on the day's adventures. You can choose to receive these tweets right on your cell phone.

A hot day, but all was quiet and all the animals are doing great.

Look who is our newset Wanderer! It's little Levi! His hormones have stopped raging after his gelding procedure and we wanted to give him a quality of life. Although he is crippled, he gets along just fine and was quickly off exploring the ranch...

Here he is trying to join some of the herd- Eagle, Scrappy and Baja were not too sure if he should become a member of their gang. Levi just trailed around behind them...
Fred the mule and Daisy kept Chief company. Chief was up all day and had his wraps and splint changed. We will be taking him back into the clinic in the next few days. Sally and Jill are going out of town again and we will all feel better if he is at the clinic. He is a big responsibility and it's not easy caring for him right now...

Arson joined his pal Maverick back out in Mesquite Manor. Arson spent a few days in the barn after having his foot worked on. He is doing well, but his hoof is deformed and we are watching it closely.

Maverick in the trees in his pen...

Wasabi is doing well and is feeling great. He is still a bit studdy after his gelding procedure and can't quite join a herd yet. With a little more time, he should be out with other horses.

Jimmy Dean enjoyed some nice cool mud.
