Some Photos From the Past Few Days...

I finally got a new Flip camera, my old one was falling apart (of course I sat on it daily on accident)- this one is HD so I hope you enjoy the photos! Let's hope this one lasts a bit longer...

These are photos from the past week at Shiloh. Sally and I are back down in San Diego for my upcoming show this weekend. I will be posting more about that here and on Facebook...

Good news as Icey Pony, Isungur was adopted to a new home and family on Monday. He went to the local family who had been fostering Jack, one of our old ponies. For the past year, Jack was being loved and ridden by a young girl- Jack gave her lots of confidence and experience and she was ready to move up to a new pony. So, Jack came back home to Shiloh and Isungur found his new life. A great switch!

Enjoy these photos:

Cascade out in Big Pasture...

How many Shiloh people does it take to change Angel, the Skin Horse's clothing? A lot. First she has to be caught- sounds easy but it's not. We have found that only a few of our volunteers have the "Angel touch", so they are sent out ahead to get her while we get her new outfit together. Then it takes a couple people to hold her and others to dress her. Remember, Angel is completely bald and has to stay covered with UV sheets in the summer otherwise she gets sun burned...

She is staying nice and fat out in her pasture, she looks great. Notice, she only has wisps of hair on her lower legs- the rest of her is completely hairless!

Finally dressed, she heads off- give her a few days and her clothing will be hanging off again and we will have to do it all again...

Gummie Pen member, Melvyn, smiles for my new camera...

Cisco and Dodge in the Big Pasture...

Wanderers and best friends, Huckleberry the mini mule, Charm and Moose the mule...

Aztec got a new haircut and he is NOT happy! We have him shaved down for the summer heat- it might not be a smooth show cut but it does the job...

Sadler looking good in his Hospice Pen...

And eating some lunch...

The Breakfast Club. Left to right: Latigo and Charlie trying to get in, Taquito and Tortilla, Baja, Aztec and Inca...

Leo helped me tie a bucket up in the barn- the birds always build flimsy nests in the rafters that constantly blow down in the wind causing the little baby birds to fall out. We tried to save this one by putting his nest in a bucket and hanging it back up for it's mom.

Wanderer Trigger stole some hay in the Mare Motel...

I've never seen Angel uncovered before. What a cute little mare!
