Shiloh's Night Before Christmas

'Twas the night before Christmas and all through Shiloh's stable not a creature was stirring yet all were still able.

Their feedbags were hung on the fences with care, because Leo, Felipe, Diego and Junior were there.

The Horses were snuggled all snug in their beds while visions of Equine Senior danced in their heads.

While Jill and Sally visited the last frontier, the animals were cared for by our fine volunteers.

Suddenly, from above the pasture, there arose such a sound, the animals awoke and looked all around.

Away to the cherry pie, Mojo flew like a flash, with Aztec and Charlie right tight on his ass.

While the Vegas moon reflected off puddles far down below, Jill and Sally played in Alaska's fresh falling snow.

And what to the animals' wondering eyes would they see but Jimmy Dean in a sleigh pulled by eight of the Gummies!

With a fat pig so lively and quick, they wondered could he really be a swine dressed St. Nick?

More rapid than eagles, the Gummies they came, and he oinked and he squealed and called them by name:

"Now Melvyn, now Heavenly! Now Canyon and Seemore! On Sy, on Gomez, on Sunny and Vista! To the top of the office, to the top of the wall! Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!

And then in a twinkling, they heard on the roof, the pawing and prancing of each shod hoof. Aztec ducked his head and turned around as down City Center, Jimmy Dean came with a bound.

He was dressed all in faux fur from his snout to his butt, and his clothes were all tarnished with manure and mud. A bundle of carrots he had flung on his back and he looked like a peddler just opening his pack.

His eyes how they twinkled, his fat dimples, how merry! His cheeks were like roses, his snout like a cherry! His sweet little mouth was drawn up like a bow, and the hair on his chin was as white as the snow.

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly pig elf, and they laughed when they saw him in spite of themselves.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, he filled all the feedbags, then turned with a jerk, giving Daisy a pat on the nose, up to the roof of City Center he rose.

He sprang to his sleigh, to the Gummies gave a whistle, and they heard him exclaim as he raced out of sight, "Merry Christmas to Shiloh and to All a Good Night!"

That was great, you are very clever. Loved it. Merry Christmas to you Jill & Sally. Stretch had a wonderful Christmas eve eve dinner that I brought to him. Vanilla was her diva self and did not share in the festivities. Stretch was very nice and shared with other horsies. He had the Christmas spirit.
