Tuesday's Happenings

A great day, all was good- just hot.

First off, Tony did some voice over work on a Public Service Announcement that we are having made. It lets people know that there are humane alternatives to slaughter, like euthanasia or working with a rescue. It is turning out really well and we are excited. I will post it once it is finished. Big thanks to John who is donating his time and expertise!

Also, Shiloh just received a grant from Blue Horse Charities for the rescued Off the Track Thoroughbreds we adopted out last year. Huge thanks to Blue Horse Charities!

We welcomed back Avalon to Shiloh today. She returned to Shiloh due to financial reasons. Shiloh always accepts our horses back at any time and we are happy to re-evaluate her and re-adopt her in the future. She looks great and is as sweet as ever.

Another Shiloh horse returned today as well, Napa, who was adopted out in 2005. She was also returned for financial reasons. She looks great and we are happy to see her again. We will be re-evaluating her and hope to re-place her as well. The economy is hard on horse owners...

New Shiloh rider, Kelly, worked with Woody today. He looks awesome and is fun to ride. I will be posting videos soon!

Capone waited patiently to share his Equine Senior with fellow Little Vacation Village member, Whiskey. Right after I took this photo, he moved in and pushed Whiskey over.

Crippled Wanderer, Eagle was put into the Gummie Pen today. His deformed foot is bothering him more now and we want to make sure he lives in a nice quiet place like the Gummies. But, he remains interested and happy in his surroundings, eats well, and that is all we can ask for.
