Thursday's Adventures

VET UPDATE: It looks like Yukon will be able to come home tomorrow from the vet clinic, but Roy will have to remain there. His site of his catheter infection is still very swollen and sore which is concerning the vets and they want to keep a close eye on him a while longer. Dr. Schur is going to ultrasound the area again.

Thursday was a great day at the rescue, much cooler, but the wind was picking up by the afternoon.

Daisy, who has been exploring like crazy lately, spent all morning on the Cherry Pie grass. It looks like her latest Legend shot really made a difference to her, she is into everything and is everywhere lately!

Daria worked with and rode Journey today. Journey is a bit rusty, but ready to move on to a home of her own. She loves people and likes to be active. Journey is looking great and Daria did a great job with her.

Robin worked with the Haflinger yearling, Crusoe. He is so cute and will make someone such a nice riding pony. He is currently up for adoption.

Abbey helped some new volunteers wash Heavenly under City Center.
While Emily groomed Eagle in the barn. We moved Eagle into his own barn stall and will let him wander during the day. We also taped a soft rubber pad onto his crippled hoof which seemed to help him a bit. We tried to fit a donated Boa Boot on, but his hoof is just so deformed and we could not make it work.
But, Echo Echo is wearing some donated Boa Boots. They fit him great and should help him and his chronic Laminitis. He looks great in his sneakers! :o)

Amiga in Area 51...

Daria also worked with City Slicker...
And then they got caught in a huge Dust Devil! Hold on Daria and Slick!
