Trail Ride!

All was well at the rescue, so Sally and I decided it would be a good day to take the girls out on a trail ride. With 140 horses in the rescue, it's not easy to find the time or the energy to ride our own horses, so when a day like today comes along, we have to go with it!

Abbey rode Moses, Emily rode Little Dude, Sally rode Priceless and Jill rode Tanis. We had such a great time, it's beautiful out in the valley and it's just so nice to be out riding!

Abbey and Moses were the leader. Tanis, who does not like to lead, was second...

Em and Dude were third and Sally and Priceless brought up the rear.

Looking good!

Parts of the trails by the Mesquites are really pretty, and the ground, off of the gravel roads is nice sand with no rocks. We had a great time, the horses loved it, and we promised ourselves we would do it again very soon!

GG, one of the Blind Girls, enjoyed her hay...

Sandi spent some time in with her. GG is so sweet.

White Cloud, looking nice and fat- and, hey, it's not even photoshopped! ;o)

Daisy tried to share Em's Otter Pop popsicle with her...

Seemore has recovered from his hoof abscess and was put out into the Okay Corral. Poker was also put out there, he still needs daily wound care, but he hates being in a little pen. Both horses were happy to be back out in pasture.

Just waiting to hear a vet update on Yukon and see if he can come home yet. If all is well with him, we will most likely finally bring Roy home as well.
