Saturday

Another great day, no horse emergencies and we all got together and went out on a trail ride. The weather had really cooled off and it was perfect for riding.

Tanis and Zuiderzee still laying down before breakfast was served.

Off we go into the desert!

From left to right- Jenny and Colbert, Sandi and Phantom, John and Monty, Sabine and Balboa, Jill and Tanis, Sally and Sage, Emily and Little Dude and Abbey and Moses.

We finally caught Sitka when she was laying down and gave her some sedation to keep her down so that we could get her feet trimmed. She slept the time away as her hooves were worked on...
Then, after she got up, we hosed her down. Serenity, Jill's old mare, looks over the fence at the action.

Felipe trimmed up Sonny and Chers' feet (our two big pigs), and as always, it was interesting. The pigs love to scream like they are being murdered, but the job got done...

Wow, everyone got to ride together! Isn't it great when there aren't emergencies?
Wish you had pig video though. I have never laughed so hard as watching Sally wrangle screaming pigs. Sally is my hero :)
