First off some sad news from Shiloh as Sanctuary Horse, Ice had to be euthanized in the vet clinic on Saturday afternoon. Ice, a 28 year old Arabian gelding, began showing low grade colic signs and in the clinic he was diagnosed as having an Enterolith, an intestinal stone. Because surgery is the only treatment for a stone, we had to make the sad decision to have him put down. Rest in peace, Ice...
Even though we had this sadness, it was still a busy and beautiful weekend at Shiloh. We had lots of visitors and volunteers out, there were riding lessons and basic horsemanship classes given and many boarders were out enjoying their horses and the warm sunny weather.
I still haven't gotten Internet set up in our new homes, so I am still using Blogger. So, I am unable to put captions under the following photos to help identify the horses in the photos- sorry! Hopefully I will have Internet access this coming week...
