First off, we all had a great time seeing our Facebook friend Norma on Saturday. Don't be a stranger Norma, come on back soon! By the way, if you haven't already friended us on Facebook, you should! We post lots more photos on FB and have lots of great friends and supporters on the Social Network. Friend request my page, you can find me under Jill VandenBerg Curtis.
More good news as both Rabbit and Slider were adopted this weekend! Two really nice geldings who have a new life ahead in their new homes...
Just in case people forgot that Shiloh is located near Las Vegas, Sin City. I love this town! Are Sally and I looking for some extra money to help finance the rescue? No! Thanks to the Travel Channel's "Sandmasters" show we were in downtown Las Vegas this morning to pick up some donated straw...
Dave and Felipe met us down there with their trucks. The production crew donated 30 new bales of straw, something we can always use but we hate to have to spend money on...
The show created a huge sand sculpture down on Fremont Street, it was really cool! The straw was used as a back drop...
Meanwhile, back at the ranch...
Volunteer Yvonne showed off her completion medal from the Rock and Roll Las Vegas half marathon. Awesome job, Yvonne! We are all proud of you!
Over in Assisted Living, Freedom looked proud of her too...
Falcon in Assisted Living, that is Eden behind him taking a sun nap...
And of course, little Mojo was in Assisted Living, just eating away. He is such a brat! Later, I spotted him in the Blind Girls pen...
Stretch gets a drink in Assisted Living...
Celebrate and Sundance, Assisted Living...
Okay Corral under a beautiful sky...
Vic's two horses, Helios and Persy, showed off their Christmas Spirit...
While Sally got creative using a toilet sponge on City Center. it worked great on Rabbit's hard to clean leg wound! Necessity really is the mother of invention, especially if you run a horse rescue...
Cascade, Big Pasture...
Icey Isungur returned to Shiloh from his adoptive home. Sadly, his young owner was outgrowing him and so she "upgraded" to Shiloh Horse, Slider. She did an excellent job with Izzy, who is now well broke to ride. He is back to looking for his new home, I am working on his under saddle video and should have it up very soon...
