Traveler Heads to Cannes

I headed out to the French Riviera this morning to attend a screening of a new documentary film about Tony. His passing last September hit me very hard, I miss my friend so very much.

I am going to Cannes to honor Tony and support his Legacy. I hope you will follow my journey...

I left early, it was a long, long flight and I spent the hours wondering what adventures lie ahead...

I helped Sally read her book...

Finally, we arrived! I spent the rest of the day napping on the beach, tomorrow night is the film showing. I am really jet-lagged so it's an early night for me...

I'll be back tomorrow, so stay tuned!

If you need some "Horse", head towards Grasse and there is a fine equestrian center in Villeneuve-Loubet, with a bistro by the stables up on a rise overlooking the arenas. I lived and worked there for a year. This is the time of year when nightingales call across the valley in the evening.
Head in the opposite direction and you will find The Camargue. Ste Marie de la Mer has a festival in May and gypsies from all over Europe make pilgrimage. There is music and dancing with white Camargue horses roaming the marshy lowlands with their dark brown foals at foot, amongst flocks of flamingos.
