The gray TB mare. She does have a tattoo, but it's very hard to read now. She is in her early 20's and seems very sweet. She had some wire caught in her tail when she arrived and she had cut her hind legs all up at the feedlot. They are sore and swollen but with care, she should recover just fine.
We have named this cute little Paso Fino gelding, Rubix. Sally and I had named our Nashville rental car, Rubix because it was one of those cube shaped cars. It just seemed to fit this guy, so Rubix it is. He is in his early to mid 20's and is supposed to be great to ride.
Rubix's sweet face...
This is one of the Mules, the one who is supposed to pack and ride. She is in her early 20's and seems very sweet and kind.
This is Peace Pipe, a 6 year old Paint gelding. Interestingly, he was actually gelded before going to the auction or the feedlot. But, because so follow up care was given, he is swollen and sore. His hind legs are also all cut up. But, with care, he should heal right up. Notice his one short ear? It looks like he suffered from some frostbite at some point and lost the tip of his ear. He is a very friendly guy.
The other Mule is in her mid 20's and blind in one eye. She is very sweet though, but shy if you approach her on her blind side. We have named her Clementine.
The chestnut mare, a bit shy but once you catch her, she stands quietly.

Back on the Rescue side of the ranch:
Look how much weight pregnant Breeze has gained! She is looking so great and even was seen trotting and tossing her head a bit out in the turn out this morning. Her horrible old unhealthy hair is finally all shedding out and she will be getting a bath this weekend. Breeze is just so sweet...
Her baby is growing as well and we are hoping for enough time to get her up to a healthier weight before she delivers.

Another great shot by Eric of Banjo, Lobo, Gus and Sawyer playing together in one of the turn outs...

Miss you all! See you Saturday!!!
I Love Sarge!!
He's saying "look into my eyes Eric and repeat after me..."You will take me home with you...you will take me home with you".
Yep.
Peace Pipe neighed at me as I drove by on Wednesday. :)
I'm leaving a bag of carrots and sugar cubes for the new arrivals and the moms-to-be hanging on the gate today after work today.
