Why do we need to act now? Watch this video- but a warning, it is graphic.
Watch this quick video of old Pleistocene Shaggy, the 30+ year old Cave Pony. Although P. Shaggy is still thin, he has a great appetite (although not many teeth). He has his own barn stall but P. Shaggy prefers to roam freely all around the rescue... (Notice his old "rubber band" hind legs as he walks toward the camera!)
P. Shaggy eats some dog food. Yes, we know Ponies should not eat dog food, but Shaggy has found a way into the grass area and dog food is his favorite treat! And, after all, how can we deny P. Shaggy anything?
Shiloh Adopter of Jet and volunteer, Daria takes Tanis out for a spin...
They look cute together...
Tanis comes into Jill and Sally's tack room...
Here is a very cute picture of Sharil and Kathy in Spokane today. As they say, you can take the girls out of Shiloh, but you can't take the Shiloh out of the girls! Sharil, DO NOT bring that cow back to the ranch!!!!
Tomorrow, Jill and Sally will be bringing Sitka and little Sunday into Las Vegas where we will meet Dr. Schur. We are concerned about Sunday's weak hind legs, so the vet will be gluing on special little shoes with support to help his legs straighten up a bit. He will be wearing "Magic Shoes" for a few weeks. Sitka and Sunday will be spending the night at a friend of Shiloh, Cathy Wardlow's Ranch, next to what was our old ranch. Cathy has always been very supportive of the rescue and the horses, Shiloh even has our own corrals set up on her property where we can have Shiloh Horses spend the night in town when needed...
DON'T FORGET: Shiloh's Much Ado about Mustang Class this saturday, September 13th at Shiloh. Click here to find out more!
