Photos from Weds...

Just some photos from today!

This is Ochocinco having some fun in the turn out...

Some of the Gummies eating breakfast- Left to right, Canyon, Vic and Melvyn...

Peace Pipe is still gaining lots of weight...

Yearling Fame cut herself up when she jumped up onto the fence while the Farrier was trimming her. She was acting up, reared up and got cut. It looks bad, but it was very clean with little blood. So, we went ahead and cleaned it up and stapled it closed. I took some after photos but I accidentally erased them!It should heal with no problem, but we put her onto antibiotics for a few days...
Here is Fame in a barn stall recovering from her sedation which I gave her so we could staple it up. She will remain in the barn as we treat her wound...

The end of the Breakfast Club- Fiesta and Inca exit the Cherry Pie grass area...

Truce and Gentry over in the Saloon...

Kerkorian and Rubix in Little Vacation Village...

Brisa and Breeze eating their feed in Kinder Care...

It was so hot that Trigger and Rugrat hung out by the mud from the Pasture water tubs. Smart little Rugrat actually laid down in the cool mud. It was up to 108 again today!

Sally and Bacon Bits- This Doesn't End Well...

A Very Hot Monday

It got up to 109 at Shiloh today! Now that is hot! We worked hard to get the chores done early...

Sally had some help from Little Mojo. First he assisted her with Blessing...

Then he helped with Hutch...

He even tried to help with the sponge and water! I don't think Mojo actually knows that he is a pony.

After Sally was finished, he got into the stock to try it out!
Meanwhile, Lindsey Loham chased Breezer...

Trigger and Rugrat visited with BB...

The Breakfast Club just isn't as exclusive as it used to be... Left to right: Bacon Bits, Aztec, Donkey Otie, Jimmy Dean, Mojo, Ferdie the goat, Fiesta and Inca. Lindsey Loham was off camera...
One of my favorite signs...

Bad Babies!

Saturday at Shiloh- a Busy Day!

As always, Saturday was a busy day!

Over in Easy Street, Nevada and Stitch have become close...

Also in Easy Street, Clover and her boyfriend, Levi. Levi spends his day keeping every other geldings away from Clover...

He is such a cute little guy. He is nice and round and even though he has a crippled hip, he is happy and active...

Also in Easy Street, old Poker is looking good...

Lobo is enjoying his time out in the Big Pasture. We will pull him in in a few months to evaluate him for adoption. We are giving his leg time to calcify.

Elaine and her adopted horse, Granite on City Center...

Latte and her new owner! Latte was very happily adopted yesterday, and more good news, Beau now has an adoption pending...

Taco gets after Donkey Otie...

Breeze and Brisa in Kinder Care...

Taco trying to pull a empty feed bag out of the trash and through the fence...

Breakfast in Okay Corral, on the left is Olympia, on the right is Broadway...

More Okay Corral, left to right, Avalon, Moses and Snafu...

Dave worked with Battle Born, who is now weaned from his mom. BB will head to his new home in CA in about one month...

Friday's Adventures...

Another hot day, up to 103 degrees. We have been adding more automatic floats to our water buckets to make sure everyone has plenty of water...

Vet Clinic Update: Hawkeye was taken into the vet clinic late last night as he was showing signs of colic. He is feeling better today and will hopefully be able to come home this weekend. While in the clinic we had his eye examined, he has what we thought was an ulcerated area, but which may in fact be a cancer on his cornea. Biopsies were taken and once the results are in, we can decide what is the best course of action to take.

Big thanks to the Orleans Casino here in Vegas. When the circus left town a few days ago, they left behind shavings and some hay. The Orleans graciously contacted the Nevada SPCA who gave them Shiloh's contact info. We happily accepted the left over stuff! So later on in the day, we headed to the Orleans with our two horse trailers and trucks to pick it up...

Peanut oversees the loading of a pallet of hay from the back window...

These are all shavings! Almost 200 bags! We were able to fit it all into one load...

Back at Shiloh...

Sandi bathed Image under the shade of City Center...

Ed worked with both Starsky and New York. Ed and his wife, Sarah are looking to adopt both of these nice geldings when they are ready...

Angel, the Skin Horse, and her pal, Avalon in Okay Corral. Don't worry, Angel is not wearing a hot sheet, those are only UV screen sheets which protect her pink skin from the sun...

Raz, looking cute in Assisted Living...

Cleveland in Assisted Living...

Derby in Assisted Living...

And Wampum.

Indio is looking good, just a little bit more weight and she can start her adoption evaluation...

We moved Nevada into Easy Street so she can have more room to move around. She seemed to enjoy it and had great fun cantering around. Stitch and Granite liked her too and followed her everywhere! Nevada will begin her under saddle work in earnest the first week of July when Shiloh Rider, Elisa, is back at Shiloh five days a week...

Stitch, who had been treated for stomach ulcers, is almost up to a good weight. Just a bit more and he too can go back to work...

Over under City Center, Ed put up more misters while new Volunteers, Nicole and Morgan, bathed Gummie Pen members, Orlando and Vista...

Over in the Gummies, Clementine the Mule hung out under one of the shades with the goats...

While Melvyn looked cute under the big shelter.
