Breaking news Sunday morning- We are bringing Sanctuary Horse, Yukon, into the vet clinic. He is showing colic signs. I will know more later today and will post an update.

A busy Saturday. We all worked hard getting automatic floats on all the pasture water tubs. Now each pasture has 2-5 automatic 100 gallon tubs.

We had some new volunteers out and visitors handing out carrots. Dave worked with Domingo and Lucero, he will be working his Parelli magic with some of the babies on the weekend to help them find homes. He does a great job with them and they respond well to him so it looks like a good match.

More babies kittens were discovered under the office. Curry and Pinta, two of the ranch dogs, have killed kittens in the past, so we had to get them out of there. Emily and Abbey spent all morning catching them and were able to get three of the five (they are hoping to catch the remaining two on Sunday). We brought them home and once they are old enough to be spayed or neutered, they will be looking for new homes. Here is one of the little guys!

We combined two of the pastures- the Rat Pack and Big Vacation Village are now one Mega Pasture. We just have so many older horses who need to have the extra senior feed to stay at a healthy weight. We want them to be able to live in herd environments and have the room to wander so we have made one huge extra feeding pasture. Here are some seniors enjoying their freedom.

Ciento is one of the horses in the Mega Pasture.

She is such a cute little filly.

Jill's feet in the mud caused as we set up the pasture waterers. Who ever said rescue is glamorous?
