After a busy weekend, today was a nice quiet day. Sally and I are heading to New York for work for Tony and for Shiloh. Shiloh gets a percentage of all that Tony earns, so we work hard for the horses on our trips. We have lots of really great projects that are shaping up for Shiloh over the next few months.
In fact- Tony has signed on to design one of the Trail of the Painted Ponies statues! It will be covered with his artwork and will be named Shiloh. The literature which will accompany the statue will be all about Shiloh and rescue horses and a portion of the proceeds from the statues goes to Shiloh. The statue will be released in January 2010 and we will be posting much more about it as time goes on. We will have some available at Shiloh and through our website as soon as they are released. We are very excited about this project! Go Rescue!
Anyway, a great day at the rescue. Abbey and Emily had to say good bye to all of their Shiloh friends and all of the animals, but great news- we made it official- Abbey adopted Moses and Emily adopted Little Dude. The girls have worked so hard while they were with us and now they have horses of their own. Moses and Dude will live at Shiloh and the girls will see them whenever they return, which we are hoping is very often!
Daria rode Jet and Tanya rode TC- both did a great job and the horses enjoyed it. We moved Sidewinder and Dodge into the Duplexes for the extra leg room and Avalon and Napa were moved out into the Okay Corral pasture. Echo Echo is still wearing his "sneakers' out in Area 51 and they have really helped him. Eagle, who is feeling better on his crippled foot, was moved into the Gummie Pen.
Bucky and Tulsa out in the Okay Corral...
Seemore and Poker, together in the Okay Corral. Sorry I don't have more photos but I still don't have a new camera!
