A Great Day...

A very nice busy day at the rescue, all the chores were done, horses groomed and turned out, horses were worked, wounds cleaned, and all the extra feeding done...

In the Mare Motel, Cloud has some new friends, Slew the goat and Trigger the wandering pony. They love to eat the Equine Senior that he spills out of his feeder...

Look how much better Cloud's eyes look! He can open them and they are no longer raw and sore. He does still wear two flymasks to protect his eyes.

Cloud gets some attention from Sally and Sandi.

Then Sandi brings him out to the turn out...

Leaving Trigger, Slew, and now Pygmalia to clean up his left overs...

There goes Capone to the turn out! Great news- he whinned like crazy this morning for his Equine Senior, it looks like he is feeling better and starting to enjoy his new life...

Here is Capone looking proud with Sandi and Tanya spoiling him...

Arson's foot wrapping was changed- it's looking great and Arson is feeling and looking wonderful.

Convoy and Elisa went out for a ride...
Area 51 eating their breakfast in the warm sun...
Snafu, from the Pahrump AC, was given a bit of a make over. He is very sweet and loves attention. He is still in the Isolation area...

Also in the Isolation area, Kerkorian got a make over as well. We were finally able to get the knots out of his tail and pulled his mane. The auction number was painted on and we cannot get it off! I think it's going to have to shed off with his winter hair...

Scrappy eats his Equine Senior. He is quite nervous around people, but after what he has been through, who can blame him. Once he lets you catch him, he seems to enjoy the attention. He just needs time to feel safe. We are thinking that Scrappy can eventually become a Shiloh Wanderer.

Serenity gets a treat...

Shiloh's very own "Crop Circle". The new pig, Pygmalia was rooting around in the grooming box in the middle of the Mare Motel aisle. Somehow, she created this weird configuration with a halter and lead, gloves and a curry comb. What does it mean? Is it a message? Alas, Pygmalia didn't tell us and wandered off to eat Jimmy Dean's food...

Liz shares a joke with Val...

Convoy gets groomed.

Look how fat P. Shaggy has gotten, he has really filled out and looks like a different pony.

Levi enjoys all the goings on at the rescue...

I just nearly fell out of my chair! THAT'S P. SHAGGY??? Oh please please, DO post before and after, because I remember how bad he looked. I didn't think he'd come back around, not like this!!
That is just wonderful to see him like this. He's a perfect example of YES you CAN put weight on an old starved horse. Wow. Great great job you guys.

I am so happy for Capone. He has been so sad. I know God was with us that day at the auction. Capone really needed Shiloh. Thank You Shiloh for ALL that you do. Its so wonderful to be part of your team!!!

P. Shaggy looks amazing! As do all of your horses! Your hard work and consistent care is evident, heart-warming, and inspiring.

Hmmm, that rainbow configuration almost looks like a horse... The gloves being the ears. Can you see it? What a good piggy, so smart!
