Some odds and ends...

It was a very busy last couple of days for Shiloh. Yesterday, we traveled to Pahrump to meet with the Nye County Animal Control, today we met with the Clark County Animal Control. We are doing what we can to help horses in Nevada. We are discussing a low cost vaccination and micro chipping clinic, as well as a possible low cost euthanasia clinic with the Animal Control, the vet, and other horse organizations. This is not a pleasant topic, but with all of the horses being dumped in the desert in NV due to the economy, this will give owners another option to consider. As these clinics are firmed up, we will be posting more info.

Empire was happily adopted today to Rubio of Las Vegas. A great home for this very nice gelding.

The Levi company people were out today to see the buildings and what we are using them for. Thanks to Sandi and John for arranging their visit. Thanks to everyone who came out today to help show them around...

Trigger is now an official Wanderer, he came out of his stall one morning and will not go back in! He spends his days hanging out with the other Wanderers, exploring the ranch, and laying in the deep sand.

We are working on the Medical Area- the cement is being poured!

Our medical stock...
What will be our new wash rack. It will be cement- so no more deep mud!

Will takes a nap in his pasture...

On Tuesday, Dr. Schur was out to evaluate the Dreamchaser's horses. All were a body score of 2 or 3 out of 9 (thin). It was Dr. Schur's professional opinion that these horses were not fed properly and basic care was not given when it was needed. Here she examines White Cloud's eyes.

Saying hi to White Cloud...

back in his corral with a nice warm donated blanket...

Sally hold Levi for his exam...

Lovely is examined. she is severe ataxia in her hind legs and has a hard time walking...

Valentine's eyes are checked. Val is also neurological and has an extremely sore back.

Apache watches the action from across the Mare Motel aisle.
Sally's dog, Chia Pet...

The Dreamchaser horses have already begun to gain weight and are feeling much better and are becoming much more interested in their surroundings. Although I do enjoy to reading the various emails I have gotten from Diane's misguided supporters- about how I should leave poor Diane alone, that she loves the horses so very much, that since "I am so wealthy" that I should just go ahead and buy Diane the feed and equipment she needs, how I should leave her horses alone and go save other horses in need in NV- it is still amazing that anyone can actually go to that place and not seeing the starving horses or believe her endless excuses...

Anyway, we are off to Fallon tomorrow morning...

Stay strong Jill and Sally. These supporters of Dreamcatcher have not seen how hard this "wealthy" woman works and lives for sake of
saving horses in pain and agony.
Why do these horses from Dreamcatcher look like this? Pure
neglect. If You are not up for the job of saving horses, and its a huge job, give it up for the sake of the horses. Thats what its all about, remember?
Go to Fallon ladies, and do your
good, I wish I could go with you, I will be there in spirit!

Wow, so because one person is better off financially than another, it becomes the other person's responsibility to maintain essentials? In that case, I am going to write a letter to Steve Wynn DEMANDING he pay off my student loans. I loved my college very much but I just couldn't afford it and now my debts are huge. But Mr. Wynn makes more than me...so he can pay my college bill.
This is just another sign that this is a case of HOARDING, not rescue. Money is bad and her horses are in trouble...so rather than admit and and put together a plan of action for the horses she loves "oh so much", she just wants hand-outs. Did it ever occur to her that a JOB brings in money faster than the kindess of strangers? McDonalds will take ANYONE...and she can enjoy all the Big Macs she so loves for FREE.

Sorry Jill, there's just nothing I hate more than an over-inflated sense of entitlement. Especially when it is undeserved. In this case, the horses are the ones suffering for her ego. Thank God for you and Sally, and everything you have done for the Fab 5 since they arrived. They are different horses already. Valentine was even nibbling playfully on my jacket when she thought I wasn't looking. I hope and pray every night that your continued efforts will save Blaze and the others as well.

Can't wait to meet the new bunch from Fallon. Thanks for always being a voice for those who can't speak for themselves.

Good luck in Fallon. I'm very excited to see what you bring back! Boy I wish I could go...
As for the Dreamchaser horses, all one needs to do is look below at Dunny. Before and After. After is how a horse is supposed to look.

You have done the right thing w/those horses. I wonder if you actually have been getting emails from supporters or getting just a few people using different email addys. It is easier to harass you then to help Diane's horses.
I like the looks of your rescue.
