A Beautiful Thursday!

First off- we accepted ten more horses into the rescue today, three donated horses and six Fallon Feedlot horses, one of which is supposed to be pregnant. More info on these new guys as they arrive...

It was a perfect day out there today! Crystal clear weather, no sign of the snow or rain that we were told was on it's way...

But, we were greeted with trash that the ranch dogs had gone through...

This morning's Breakfast Club...

Granite, who is part of the Breakfast Club only by his Mare Motel location, waits for his morning feed. He is still on his feed study...

Over in the Saloon, Sully and Hawkeye keep a close eye on Aztec, who is standing off camera. Aztec spent the morning hanging out next to the Saloon...

Sy eats his Feed Fairy food in Little Vacation Village. That is Susie Q behind him.

Lobo went into the turn out for some post castration exercise...

While Daisy wandered...

And Indio looked cute in the Medical Area.

Barn Member, Eagle was out wandering. We put some of the blankets back onto our special needs horses, although it was sunny, there is still a chill in the air and it's going to get down into the low 40's at night.

Calamity, Cognac and Cocktail spent time in the far turn out.

Melvyn watched the activity from his outdoor run. We had skin and hair samples taken yesterday to try to see what is going on with his hair. He looks decidedly moth eaten! Poor Melvyn. The vet didn't know what was going on just by looking at it, but we think it must be some sort of allergy. Hopefully, we will know more after the lab results come back.

Serenity tried to share Jimmy Dean's watermelon...

And Rugrat patiently waited for Daisy to come out of her stall so that she could go in and try to eat Daisy's food...
