Apache was taken into the clinic this morning. Yesterday evening she was showing some colic signs and was moved from her pasture and into a corral where she could be watched. She was treated with Banamine and seemed to settle down for the night. But, this morning she was uncomfortable again and we decided to send her in.
I just spoke to the vet and she does have a colon impaction in an area of the colon which narrows down and makes a sharp turn. (Horses have the weirdest digestive tracts!) She is being tubed with water and oil and will remain in the clinic.
Apache had this same exact colic last year, in the same spot.
I will update as I get more info...
