As sad as the vet day was for us, life goes on at Shiloh...

This is Ketchum, a wonderful Appy gelding who returned to Shiloh yesterday. He was adopted three years ago, but his owner could no longer pay his board bill so we took him back. Once we re-evaluate him, ketchum will be looking for his new home.

Jimmy Dean is now able to wander freely when we are at the ranch. He acts just like a dog and comes when you call him! He is too cute!

More from Tuesday's vet day:

The vet sedates Sanctuary horse, Timber. Due to his old pelvis fracture (it is healed and fused), he cannot hold up his feet for trims. So we had him laid down and then trimmed.

We also had the vet check on Charity, who is still doing well and getting around. She gave Serenity a Legend shot for her joints, She performed a pregnancy check on adopted horse, Gladys Noche. We just wanted to confirm that she was not pregnant, you just never know when they come from auction. Luckily, she is not pregnant. Dr. Schur than went on to work on many of the boarded horses, doing teeth floating, check ups, etc.

More good news- Empire is being adopted by Jessica of Las Vegas, Six is being adopted by Allison of Las Vegas, Elvis' adoption is going through, and Charmin was happily adopted to Shiloh supporter and volunteer, Robin. Great homes for these nice horses- yay!

Shiloh will be attending the Fallon, NV auction on Feb 21st to rescue more horses. Please consider donating to our Slaughter Fund. One hundred percent of these donations go directly to paying our auction bill. We are hoping to save possibly up to eight horses.
