Cold Days...

It has been very cold at the rescue over the past few days.

Some sad news from the ranch as Sally's horse, Sage, was euthanized in the vet clinic yesterday morning. Sage had suffered some sort of mystery injury and lameness in her pastern area and was in the clinic this whole past weekend for treatment when she developed a bad case of colic secondary to her severe lameness. Sadly, Sally had to make the difficult decision to have Sage put down in the clinic. Sage is buried at Shiloh under Mesquite trees. Our thoughts are with Sally and Sage at this time.

More sad news as Sanctuary horse, Whiskey, passed away yesterday in the Gummies. Whiskey was well into his thirties and had been at Shiloh for many years. It was his time and he had enjoyed a good and long horse life at Shiloh. Whiskey is also buried at Shiloh...

On to some photos from Saturday and Sunday:
